The Mission of Faith InDeed (FIND): To come alongside to equip and encourage the church as they desire to grow and reach their community with the love of Christ
In early August of 2016, two church groups consisting of 17 eager teens and four adult leaders converged on the Ashland area for our first ever Faith InDeed Youth Mission event. God's hand held them firmly throughout the week as they poured their hearts into the community doing storm damage clean up, building projects, fixing a playground on the reservation, and executing team building skills in the great outdoors. Not a person left without having their life transformed, and anticipating next year's event - their spot already reserved.
A very unique and exciting partnership came about with Faith InDeed's ministry and The City of Ashland's Planning Dept. with the creation of the city's Home Improvement Program (HIP). Several projects were completed as part of HIP with more to come in the summer of 2017. We are currently creating a team of volunteers to serve in various capacities. Where can your talents be used for His good?
Several churches in Wisconsin and Michigan held a Faith InDeed Backyard Mission in their community this past year. We look forward to even more events next year! A Thrivent "Action Team" may provide the seed money you need to host your own event. Each Thrivent member receives $500 per year...your church family may have several Thrivent members!
Ways Faith InDeed can come alongside:
*Help a church to develop a backyard mission in their community
*Bring churches together to help in their community
*Organize workers to address the needs of your church facilities
FIND is a connection site, a hub for church-to-church and a backyard mission. We help to facilitate church-to-church service, matching one church’s needs with another’s outstretched serving hands.

The Vision of Faith InDeed: To see churches strengthened as they work together to show Christ’s love not just in word, but in deed within their community.
FIND also has a team of individuals that works to foster church-to-community service and will walk alongside a church to educate, equip and mentor the church body with the tools to extend grace and compassion through projects for people in their own community—a “mission trip” in the church’s own backyard. These have proven to open doors in a community that may have never been open before. Showing someone God’s love through works—reaching a helpful hand out and having no expectation for something in return— speaks volumes.
1 John 3:18 …let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. Simply put, “walk the walk”.
