Born Again Through the Living and Enduring Word

At Crossroads Outreach, our mission is to walk alongside the hurting, lost, and broken. We strive to build healthier communities by sharing the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. Today's Bible verse reminds us of the incredible power of God's word to transform lives:

"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." (1 Peter 1:23)

Peter wrote this letter to encourage early Christians facing persecution for their faith. He reminded them that when they accepted Christ, they were "born again" spiritually through the word of God. This rebirth was not physical but an inward renewal and transformation of their hearts and minds.

The word of God has the power to give us new life in Christ. It endures forever, unlike earthly things that decay and fade. When we place our faith in Christ, we are made new creations. The old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

God's word is living and active, penetrating even to our innermost beings (Hebrews 4:12). As we regularly read, study, and apply the Bible, it changes us from within. The Holy Spirit uses Scripture to convict, instruct, comfort, and conform us to the image of Christ.

At Crossroads Outreach, we have witnessed many lives powerfully changed by the word of God. No matter what you are going through, we encourage you to seek renewal through reading the living and enduring word. Join us for our Bible studies and outreach programs to grow in your spiritual walk.

When we build our lives on the solid foundation of Scripture, we gain strength to walk alongside the hurting with compassion. We have hope to share with the lost and broken because we have been transformed by the imperishable seed of God's word.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly in you (Colossians 3:16). Subscribe for our email updates to receive encouragement grounded in biblical truth. We pray God renews you through the power of His living and enduring word.
