About the event

Description

This training session is different than our Conflict Resolution seminar. There are common topics that can create tension and division in most marriages. This 2 hour seminar is designed to help couples gain the skills necessary to talk about issues that they tend to avoid because of the tension and conflict they cause. The seminar material lists a number of difficult issues that most couples encounter in an assessment questionnaire and couples are guided through the process of initiating and completing a helpful discussion.

There is a long list of difficult issues that couples often face including things such as: feeling distanced, parenting differences, job or other tensions spilling into the home, major changes, lack of intimacy and passion, in-laws, and the list goes on and on. Bring your list along.

Bio

Dr. Debbie, and Dr. David McFadden live in Cable, Wisconsin and are both on the board of Crossroads Ministry Center. The McFadden’s started a church in the NW suburbs of Chicago in 1990 and later started a Christian Counseling Practice which rapidly grew to 3 separate office locations and satellite offices in 2 churches.   During the almost 25 years of owning, managing the practice, providing oversight and supervision to a staff of about a dozen full time therapists, they also worked full time seeing clients weekly.

Both David and Debbie are semi-retired but continue seeing clients weekly primarily through live video sessions. They are in their 49th year of marriage together and enjoy spending time with their 4 married children and 13 grandchildren. Their love of the outdoors brought them to Cable at least once a year for the past 15 years until they made it their home.

David and Debbie are involved at The Oaks Church in Drummond where David is an Elder and preaches on a monthly basis.  Both David and Debbie have conducted hundreds of training sessions and seminars on Marriage and family related topics and provide training at Crossroads.
